Florence was the second city we visited after Venice. Did I mention that I fell in love with Italy at first sight (see these photos and I promise you will too!) when I arrived in Venice? Well I fell in love with Italy AGAIN when I saw Florence. It was so beautiful that I literally started researching the possibility of moving to Italy (I still do from time to time when I feel like escaping). Here I’ve summarised a list of […]
Budget Travel Tips for the Most Expensive City in Italy Venice is apparently the most expensive city in Italy. This was echoed by our Airbnb host in Florence when we exclaimed how things seemed to be cheaper in Florence than in Venice. So I’ve decided to put together some Budget Travel Tips for Venice so you can benefit from this. Looking back, it seemed like a wise idea to pick the most expensive city to start our Italian holiday. A Birthday Dinner Celebration My Review of La Colombina The last dining experience which was done on another day was in a slightly snobbish gourmet restaurant called La Colombina (#26). This was a small gourmet restaurant hidden inside a lane. We wanted a nice place to celebrate my birthday and I wanted to pick one that was listed on TripAdvisor so we picked La Colombina. The restaurant seemed quite popular and the diners were mostly well dressed. To be honest, we felt a […]

This would […]
Portraits of Venice Here is a collection of some of my favourite photos taken in Venice.
20 April 2017: Day 6 Treviso to Venice Taking Ryanair from Barcelona We flew into Treviso to Venice from Barcelona by Ryanair. Treviso is the only airport in Venice that Ryanair lands at. We picked Ryanair because of their flight time which was optimal for arriving Venice early. Ryanair is a no-frills budget airline and the staff are the most “no-nonsense” I’ve ever come across. Unfriendly, all-business, monotonous is how I would describe the staff there. Our departure from Barcelona was […]
